William Stanley Beardshaw, Jr.

November 5, 1934 — December 16, 2015

William Stanley “Bill” Beardshaw, Jr., 81, of Savannah, died Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at his residence, under the care of Spanish Oaks Hospice.
He was born in Alton, Illinois, and was a graduate of Savannah High School, and Toccoa Falls College.
He married Letitia Kay Haupt, Sept 1, 1956 at Montgomery Presbyterian Church, and they recently celebrated their 59th Wedding Anniversary, and he took great satisfaction in sharing those many years with his wife and family.
He was employed by Reynolds Metals Company and the Loxcreen Aluminum Company where he served as District Manager.
His hobbies were woodworking, fishing and computer repair.
He was a member of Ferguson Ave Baptist Church, where he served as Trustee, Deacon, member of the Adult Choir, and Men’s Quartet. He served as webmaster for Savannah East Camp of the Gideon’s International.
He is survived by his wife, Kay Haupt Beardshaw, a daughter, Belinda Chumbly (Joey); 2 sons, William S. Beardshaw, III (Temple); and Bart H. Beardshaw, a sister, Joy B. Lyle (Gordon); and 8 grandchildren.
Bill was very active in his church and Loved his church families, but most of all, Bill loved serving his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
To God be the Glory, for such a man of Faith.
Visitation: 2 – 5 p.m. Sunday at Fairhaven Funeral Home – Hubert C. Baker Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, Ga 31406.
Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Monday at Ferguson Avenue Baptist Church, with Rev. Bob Dimmitt and Rev. Everett Tarver, officiating.
Interment will follow at 12:30 p.m. Monday in Bonaventure Cemetery.
Remembrances: for Bibles be given to Gideon’s East Camp.
