Mr. William Richardson, 96, passed away on August 4, 2010 under Hospice Care surrounded by his loving family.
William Richardson, Jr., beloved son of the late William Richardson, Sr. and Lillar Harper Richardson, was born January 12, 1914 in Branchville, South Carolina. He grew up in Branchville and attended public schools. In 1935 he was united in marriage to the late Lucille Lewis and to this union one son was born, Joseph Richardson. He was a loving, hard worker in construction that truly believed in providing for his family. In his early life, he relocated from Jacksonville, Florida to Baltimore, Maryland where he spent most of his life. He spent the rest of his days in Savannah, Georgia.
Sadly, three sisters preceded Mr. William Richardson in death. They were Mrs. Annie Mae Richardson Eisom, Mrs. Bessie Richardson Townsend and Mrs. Earlene Richardson Jones. His presence, loving concern and sense of humor will be greatly missed by his family.
He leaves to mourn: his devoted son, Joseph Richardson; one daughter-in-law, Joanne Richardson; three grandchildren, Jacquelyn (William) Hinton, Jannifer (Darryl) Bailey, and Jerryl (Melvin) Davis; four great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. William Richardson, Jr. will be held Monday, August 9, 2010 at Owens Funeral Chapel in Branchville,South Carolina.
