Willie J. Googe, 96 of Guyton, died Sunday April 24, 2016 at his residence under the care of Hospice Savannah.
Mr. Googe served in the US Army and later retired from Foremost as a Pasteurizer.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Lois K. Googe; his parents, James Wesley Googe and Hattie Ida Googe; brothers, Ward Googe of Oak Park, Harold Googe of Statesboro, Carl Googe of Blitchton; and a sister, Maddie Smoaks of Cobbtown.
He is survived by 5 daughters, Patricia Livingston (Gary) of Bloomingdale, Darlene Googe Cooler (Dennis) of Guyton, Delores Rogers (Kenny) (deceased) of Guyton, Janice Googe Lewis (Billy) (deceased) of Guyton, Betty Brant (Ronnie) of Port Wentworth; 10 grandchildren, Shannon English, Richard Salyer Jr., Michelle Bowen, Timmy Winters, Jack Ward Jr., Miranda Ward, Brandon Bishop, Robert Cooler Jr., Amanda Cooler, Jennifer Cooler; 14 great-grandchildren, Amber Anna, Chad Bowen, Joshua Bowen, Chelsea Ensley, Kailyn Bowen, Brittney Bowen, Dalton English, Serenity Winters ,Bubba Winters, Chloe Cooler, Owen Cooler, Miley Bishop, Anthony Winters, Chanse Winters; 6 great-great grandchildren, Jeffrey Ensley III, Aiden Anna, Paisley Anna, Bryson Bowen, Charles Ensley, Thomas Ensley; mony other family and friends.
Visitation: 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday April 27, 2016 at the Baker McCullough Funeral Home Garden City Chapel.
Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m. Thursday April 28, 2016 in the Chapel of the Baker McCullough Funeral Home Garden City Chapel.
Entombment: Hillcrest Abby West Mausoleum.
