Wylene Scott Carter, 91, of Savannah, GA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Feb. 21, 2016, at her residence, with her husband at her side.
Wylene was born and raised in Emanuel County and attended local schools there. For a time after graduation from high school, she worked as a Clerk/Secretary of the Emanuel County Health Department.
Following her marriage to the love of her life, Randal Carter, they moved to Savannah. From that point, she was a homemaker. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church.
Wylene was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Randal Carter, of Savannah; a son, Col. (R), IN, Randal Scott Carter, (Marina) of Canton, GA.; two grandchildren, who were the love of her life, Danielle and Michael, (Kim),( Kim and Michael are expecting Wylene’s first great-grandchild in June); a sister in law, Elizabeth Purvis of Roseland, VA.; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
